Santo Wines
Pyrgos, Santorini · Cyclades, Greece
The winery of the Union of Santorini Cooperatives and the island's largest producer; a small-production varietal Mavrotragano at accessible scale.
Santo Wines is the winery of the Union of Santorini Cooperatives, founded in 1947 and drawing on growers across the island — by far its largest producer. From its dramatic caldera-edge facility at Pyrgos it makes a small-production varietal Mavrotragano aged in French oak: a reliable, benchmark expression of the grape made at a scale few others on the island can match.
