If Santorini saved Mavrotragano, Tinos took it to the world. From the granite-strewn Clos Stegasta vineyard near Falatados, T-Oinos makes the most internationally celebrated expression of the grape — the Clos Stegasta Mavrotragano and, in top years, the prestige “Rare” cuvée, which earned 99 points from James Suckling in 2022. The high-altitude granite terroir gives a markedly different, structured reading of the variety from its volcanic Santorini home.
